The cyclist who was involved in a hit and run in the early hours of Sunday morning has died.

At around 12:40am Nicholas Keeler, 44, from Kings Langley was hit by a car in Radlett Road, Aldenham.

The car and the bike were travelling towards Watford. The driver of the car did not stop at the scene.

A 41-year-old man from Watford and a 25-year-old woman from Willesden have both been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. They have since been released under investigation while enquiries continue. 

The cyclist died at the scene after sustaining serious injuries in the crash.

Next of kin have been informed.

Road Policing Sergeant Martin Kemp, who is investigating, said: “I’m appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has information about the circumstances leading up to the incident and has not already spoken to police to get in touch. Any information you provide could prove to be crucial to our investigation.”
