The future of a GP surgery could be uncertain following concerns the building does not provide the “optimum environment” to provide services to patients.
Attenborough Surgery, who run Prestwick Road, in South Oxhey, have applied to Herts Valleys CCG to request a consultation on the future of that branch.
David Buckle, medical director at Herts Valleys CCG confirmed no decision has yet been made.
He said: “We understand that the consultation has not launched yet and any decision would be subject to the outcome of the consultation with patients.
“We are aware that the Prestwick Road branch surgery building does not provide the optimum environment to deliver services to patients.
“Attenborough run a branch in nearby Carpenders Park - which they are currently developing. Many patients from Prestwick Road may currently use Carpenders Park to access some services.”
