An electrical company headquartered in Watford has announced a massive £51 million sponsorship deal with FC Barcelona.

Beko, whose UK branch is based in Greenhill Crescent, won the rights to become the Spanish club’s shirt sleeve sponsors in 2014.

This new three-year deal will earn Barcelona around £17 million a season while Beko will be afforded the privilege of seeing their name on the front of the club’s training tops.

It is worth more than 14 of the 20 Premier League clubs’ main sponsorship agreements.

Turkish company Beko is one of Barcelona’s ‘premier’ partners, with kit manufacturers Nike and shirt sponsors Rakuten classed as ‘principle’ sponsors.
