Drivers faced delays of nearly two hours this morning after a lorry crashed on the M25.
The lorry was the only vehicle involved in the collision which happened near j18 for Rickmansworth at around 9.30am this morning.
The driver suffered a medical episode.
There are still queues clockwise, which at one stage stretched back to before the M40.
Highways crews also had to deal with a diesel spillage which have added to the recovery time.
All lanes have re-opened but delays remain on the motorway.
Earlier this morning, a lorry crashed into a tree in Sarratt Road, near the junction of Redhall Lane, close to Chandler's Cross.
Police closed the road after the incident which happened at around 8.20am. There were no reports of any injuries.
Sarratt Road has re-opened.
