Please allow me, through this column, to thank your kind readers who take the time and trouble to send in thanks for care given by staff at Watford General Hospital.
We are also getting an increasing number of tweets in praise of our staff.
Such lovely feedback is welcome at any time, but it is especially treasured when we are so busy.
Even those patients who have waited longer than we would like have written, as have those whose loved ones passed on in our care. I have received letters detailing the everyday kindness of staff, the human touches as well as the professionalism. It makes me so proud to be part of this team.
These letters are shared with the staff in question and we use phrases from them in our wider communications to show colleagues how valued they are.
The hospital is under immense pressure and it is at times like this that the warm comments from readers really make a difference.
Thank you to all who have made the effort to get in touch and to those who might, on reading this, drop us a note or send a tweet.
All your feedback – good or bad – matters.
