A school is celebrating the opening of its new learning facilities.
Lanchester Community Free School in Hempstead Road are opening their new science laboratory, school library and outdoor learning zone.
The school has said that its focus has been on developing their children's curiosity, creativity and to explore different types of environments and textures.
Newly appointed Principal, John Dibdin said: “These new facilities are already popular with the pupils at Lanchester and will definitely enhance the learning experience of the children both immediately as well as in the long term as the school grows.”
The learning facilities will let reception children learn both inside and outside of the classroom.
The children have also been given a new reading area in their classrooms, to help them with their literacy skills.
The main school library, school office and reception were also refurbished as part of this building project along with a new Science laboratory.
