A teenager with autism and ADHD is to embark on a challenging sponsored canal walk.
Joel Barber Hall from Watford will attempt to walk along the Grand Union Canal starting in Cassiobury Park and walking towards Milton Keynes.
Joel, 14, will walk from 7am-7pm on May 5 along with family and friends in aid of the National Autistic Society.
The Watford Grammar Boys pupil will be joined by his parents, twin brother, Harvey, his younger twin brothers, extended family, and neighbours.
Joel was diagnosed with autism and ADHD when he was aged 7.
His mother Jakki said: "Joel loves walking and I know how excited he is to get going.
"We chose the National Autistic Society because we are aware of the great support they provide for people like Joel.
"Joel is such a compassionate boy and we can't wait to join him, although I certainly won't be going the whole way."
Joel's family are encouraging anyone else who might like to join the sponsored walk. If you are interested, you should meet at the Cassiobury Park bridge at 7.15am.
