Here is everything you need to know about the local elections in Watford next week.

People will be able to vote for the next mayor of Watford and one councillor to serve in each the wards in Watford.

Polls will take place on Thursday, May 3 between the hours of 7am and 10pm.

Watford is also taking part in a pilot scheme run by the Cabinet Office where voters within the borough will will need to show ID before they can vote.

Election counts will take place at the town hall at 9.30am onwards on Friday May 4.
