The tracks have already been laid: the platforms are in place.
Surely it is not beyond the wit of man to engage a low level spur line running from Watford Junction to Watford Met.
A shuttle service may be preferable to the original plan which included, controversially, the closure of the Watford Met station, a major hub for the residents on the Cassio and Cassio Metro estates. A move which would have been quite frankly ludicrous.
If budgets are tight, then perhaps the Cassiobury Park model railway society could be consulted to explore the possibility of extending the narrow gauge line to the Met station and then on to Watford Junction either via tunnel under the park or alongside Langley Road to Watford Junction station.
