A golf open day saw a whopping £30,000 raised for a charity for people with life-limiting illnesses.

On May 10, twenty-five teams of specially invited golfers took on the annual sporting challenge for the Michael Sobell Hospice Charity at the Sandy Lodge Golf Club, in Northwood.

This year’s open day was held in glorious sunshine and followed by a dinner, a raffle and an auction in the evening. The event has been a yearly tradition since 2002.

The winning team, the “Four Young Guns”, were presented with a trophy by the Michael Sobell Hospice Charity and gold club representatives.
