Hundreds of people revelled in the sunshine and the music as a town’s first ever acoustic festival took place.

Organisers believe more than a thousand people turned out in Bushey Heath on Sunday for an afternoon of singing, dancing, and festival fun.

Hosted by the Warren Estate Residents Association, in partnership with Hertsmere Leisure and Hertsmere Park Divisions, the festival at Mary Forsdyke Gardens was one to remember.

Watford Observer:

There were three stages, of which 19 performers sang and busked, completely for free, including the Drama Spectrum of Bushey Heath.

Children were entertained by a magician and a Punch and Judy show, while refreshments were provided by a food market, and old-style ice-cream and coffee vans.

According to organiser Raymond Coffer, the day was such a success that they have already pencilled in a provisional date for next year.

Mr Coffer said: "It was such a special day. The atmosphere was the best I've ever seen in Bushey. It was a proper community event for everyone in Bushey and beyond and free for everyone to attend.

"Every artist who performed was amazing and the weather was so lovely too."
