Three hundred dogs rocked up to take part in a dog show as a village celebrated its first fair in 18 years in style.
Hundreds flocked to The Green in Sarratt for its village day on Sunday.
As well as the dog show, there was large vintage car collection, as well as stalls, and a fiercely competitive Tug of War.
Angela Coakley, who helped organise the day said: “It really was the most triumphant day. It was incredible. The sun was shining down on us and it was the greatest get together.”
Families from Sarratt, Belsize, Chandlers Cross, and further afield came together.
Ms Coakley added: “Congratulations to Tracey’s Pullers who won the Tug of War. It was very well fought; we think the store manager at our village post office may have even broken his ribs, he tried that hard.”
The day raised money for the newly launched Sarratt & Chipperfield Community Foundation, which will provide money for community projects, as well as the Sarratt School Parents Association.
The junior journalists from Sarratt Primary School said: “There was so much to see and do, from bouncy castles to dog shows, tug of war and even kids showing jumping. It was a beautiful summer’s day with not a jumper in sight.”
