A community of loyal museum-goers enjoyed a trip to a major government building after receiving an invitation from an MP.
On June 11, Friends of Watford Museum visited the Houses of Parliament for a tour of the building following an invitation from Watford MP, Richard Harrington.
The guests were treated to a guided walk around the historic building including the House of Commons and Westminster and St Stephens Hall.
The Friends group then enjoyed tea with Mr Harrington.
Mr Harrington said: “I was pleased to welcome the friends of the Watford Museum to parliament for a tour. This was followed by an interesting chat over a cup of tea.
“I think it’s so important that local residents get to visit the home of our democracy and that’s why I regularly invite schools and community groups to have a look around.
“If you’re interested, either as a local resident or as part of a group, then please do get in touch.”
