A Montessori school will continue to “flourish” after it gained a key accreditation.

High Elms Manor School in High Elms Lane, Watford has received accreditation under the Montessori Evaluation and Accreditation Board (MEAB) scheme.

The scheme offers support and guidance to Montessori schools in order to ensure that their Montessori provision is of a high quality.

The scheme, which includes two visits by MEAB assessors and began in 2008, also seeks to reassure parents that their Montessori school works with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

Sisters Liadain O’Neill, Roisin O’Neill, and Catrine O’Neill, who run the school under The O’Neill partnership said: “We are delighted to have received our MEAB accreditation award. All the staff deserve this recognition for the hard work they have put in to creating such a wonderful learning environment in which the children can flourish and reach their full potential.”

They were presented with a framed certificate to further celebrate their success, along with the other accredited schools, at an awards ceremony held at Montessori St Nicholas’s new location, Marlborough House, in St John’s Wood, London on June 22.

High Elms Manor School has 82 children between the ages of 1-11.
