A total of £500 awarded to a women’s refuge will help increase awareness.
The Watford Women's Centre received the money from the Hertfordshire County Council’s locality budget scheme, which has funded good causes since its launch in 2009.
This year seven councillors across Hertfordshire got the chance to distribute £10,000 to various causes.
North Watford Cllr Asif Khan chose to give his grant of £500 to the Watford Women’s Centre in Market Street, Watford.
Cllr Khan said: “Funding will pay for the Women's Centre Logo and service information to be included in the awareness-raising campaign.”
