Police are appealing for witnesses after an ‘altercation’ broke out between football fans on a train on Saturday.
The Watford Observer reported on Saturday that at least 14 police cars were called to Watford Junction as well as police vans.
The British Transport Police has confirmed it was called to an incident on a train, which had been travelling from Glasgow to London Euston, at around 8.30pm.
The train was stopped at Watford Junction so police could attend and passengers reported being stuck for around 45 minutes.
Anyone who saw what happened is asked to call 0800405060 or text 61016, quoting 617 of August 11.
• A 27-year-old man from London and a 21-year-old woman from Kent were arrested on suspicion of causing fear or provoking violence. Both were released under investigation and enquiries continue.
