The council has organised a day of sporting activities for the fifth year running to challenge people in the town.

The fifth annual Big Sports event organised by Watford Borough Council will take place in The Parade on September 1 from 11am to 5pm.

Guests and participants can expect to find an array of sporting challenges to face from bungee trampolining, cave adventures, zip lining, rope-a-phobia, wall climbing, water wars, Top Golf, basketball shootouts, a palm tree challenge and penalty shootouts.

Cllr Karen Collett, deputy mayor and portfolio holder for community, said: “Big Sports is a fun day out for everyone in Watford.

“There are lots for fantastic activities on the day for all ages and abilities as well as lots of tips on how to be active and healthy.

“We have a really great community here in Watford and all our Big Events bring people together and show how great a place Watford is to be. I encourage everyone to come out and take part.”
