More than 500 care home residents "celebrated life" with a three course meal and two mayors for company.
Care home residents within Barnet and Brent were invited to join a Celebration of Life party at Abigail’s Court in Brent Terrace, Brent Cross on July 21.
The celebration took place throughout the afternoon and more than 500 residents from care homes across each area attended, including residents from Bupa’s Hill House Care Home, Elstree.
Hill House care general manager, Ben Domah, said: “It was a lovely experience and a great opportunity for residents to mingle outside of the home and get to know others in the area.
“The food and music added to the vibrant atmosphere and we are grateful to have been invited to such a fun event.”
Each year Abigail's Court hosts a Celebration of Life event, usually over the Christmas period, during which the lives of the residents are celebrated in the presence of dignitaries, relatives and friends.
The Mayors of Barnet and Brent, Cllr Reuben Thompstone and Cllr Arshad Mahmood also attended the event, taking the time to visit tables with each care home after a speech.
