Voices of soldiers who served in the First World War will be brought to life once more in a historic walk in their footsteps.

The Bedmond Great War Walk will see historians and villagers set out over the surrounding countryside to learn about those from the area who served in the conflict, treading the very path they took at the time.

The event will take place on August 27, from 2pm.

The walk will be led by historians from the Abbots Langley Local History Society using research from the Back to the Front archives, featuring stories of over 100 villagers who served.

People are asked to meet at Bedmond Village Hall to take part in one of two walks. Refreshments will be available at the Tin Church.

The free event is part of the local Back to the Front Project.
