Residents at a retirement village enjoyed a scrumptious spread in a stunning Victorian conservatory.
Retirees at Cedars Village in Chorleywood celebrated National Afternoon Tea Week in style with finger sandwiches, fruit, scones and sponge cakes.
Around 40 residents at the village, part of Retirement Villages Group, turned up to enjoy the great British afternoon delight.
Colin Foulger, village manager at Cedars Village, said: “We have lots of social events where residents can get together, but it’s nice to be all celebrating a great pastime such as afternoon tea.
“It’s wonderful way to make use of the gorgeous Victorian architecture and formal gardens we have at Cedars – it really is the perfect location for such an event.”
The village’s main building is a Grade II Listed mansion house which includes an iconic two-storey Victorian conservatory.
