Strictly Nashville

This brand new show promises an exciting fusion of pure country gold with 'new country' blockbusters. Guitarist, vocalist and band-leader Bob Drury, who has been selling out theatres across the country for the past six years with his highly acclaimed shows, heads up an amazing cast of musicians to deliver a set of pristine classics from the likes of Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, Brad Paisley, Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson and Kenny Rogers. Featuring Bob's daughter Harriet on female lead vocals the band presents stunning versions of monster hits from Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Eva Cassidy, June Carter and many more. With their combined talents Bob and Harriet also lovingly re-create vocal duets from country's hall of fame.

Cool Britannia

This summer sees the launch of a brand new epic music festival Cool Britannia — which will take place at Knebworth — the stately home of rock. Little Gallery Exhibition

Recyclers Freya Brookman and Pauline Smith are exhibiting their crafts at the Little Gallery Tearoom. Freya will be selling flower-themed cushions and gifts made from ethically sourced fabrics. Pauline will be selling crocheted, sewn and knitted items made from remaindered materials and charity shop finds.

Hand Drawn Action Packed

Hand Drawn Action Packed is a new major exhibition curated by Hayward Gallery Touring, showcasing the works of ten artists whose practice springs from drawing, and reveals the medium’s infinite possibilities. The artists come from around the world (Belgium, Canada, China, India, Nigeria, the Netherlands, South Africa, Turkey and the USA), but their works all deploy narrative forms for fantasy, social critique, political allegory and autobiography to engage the viewer and hold their attention. This never-before-seen exhibition opens at St Albans Museum + Gallery before touring the UK.

Lasting Peace?

Even before Armistice Day in 1918 St Albans had started creating monuments to the soldiers who wouldn’t come back. This exhibition explores how the way we remember the First World War has changed from those early memorials to our centenary commemorations today.

Cassiobury Farm Open Day

Come and visit the rare breeds farm, with Hungrian Steppe cows, Soay sheep, Gloucester Old Spot pigs, pygmy goats, red deer, fallow deer, miniature horses and donkeys, turkeys, pheasants and so much more. Enjoy the farm’s private collection of exotics, including flamingos, meerkats, marmosets, wallabies, crested cranes, pelicans, arctic foxes, civets, squirrel monkeys, reindeer, capybara, tortoises and more. Visit the kitchen garden and buy local produce at the farm shop. There will be lots of fun for the kids with a bouncy castle, face painting, fishing, crazy golf, mini-tractor rides and animal encounters.

Tales from the Vicarage Live

Pantomime Dance Auditions

Jordan Productions and Watersmeet are looking for shining stars to join the cast of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for their annual pantomime from 7th to 31st December 2018. You will need to be a dancer aged under 18 and you must commit to the full run of the panto. Those selected will join the star-studded cast which includes TV star Sam Attwater as Prince Simon with CBBC favourite Marvyn Dickinson as Hector the Henchman and Emmerdale actress Natasha Gray as the Wicked Queen.
