A family have paid tribute to a “caring, jolly” teenager who was killed in Cambridge.

Benyamin Hussain, 18, died in hospital following what police have described as a fight outside the Grand Arcade in the early hours of November 15.

Cambridgeshire Police are treating the incident as murder.

Benyamin, a former Watford Grammar School for Boys pupil, was in the city visiting a friend and had been on a night out when he was assaulted.

A fundraising page has been set up in honour of Benyamin, who lived in Hagden Lane, Watford.

More than £7,000 has been raised so far for the Muslim Charity and the British Heart Foundation, including an anonymous donation of £1,000.

His family have also left a heartfelt tribute.

Speaking to the Watford Observer, they said: “In loving memory of our dear brother Benyamin Hussain who left us so soon. He was the most wonderful person who was loved by everyone. So caring, jolly, full of life and always making everyone laugh. He was a loving and compassionate son, brother and friend.

“Beny was always looking out for others and was such a selfless and caring person who would always go out of his way to help people and we would like to continue his legacy and help the less fortunate on his behalf.

“Please help us by supporting this project.”

Dozens of people have donated their money to support the charities, leaving their own messages of support and tribute to the teenager and his family.
