People can learn about their family heritage at a worldwide family history day next weekend.
The event organised by Hertfordshire archives and local studies, will be held at County Hall in Pegs Lane, Hertford between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, October 13.
Last year, nearly 400 vistors keen to learn about their family ancestry attended the event, organisers are hoping for an even bigger turn-out this year.
Valerie Riley explained: "If you are generally interested in finding out about your family history then find out the facts now - come along to the day with an open mind - everybody that left last year had a smile on their face."
Throughout the day, the Hertfordshire Family History Society will be on hand to advise people on tracing family origins.
