NOAH CATO again underlined what an explosive prospect Saracens have on their hands after the wing grabbed a hat-trick as the A team got their new season off to a flier with a 46-24 win over London Irish last night (Monday).
Don Barrell's converted try put Sarries ahead before the Exiles hit back with two scores.
Full-back Edd Thrower made it 12-12 after taking the impressive Alex Goode's miss-pass in his stride before Guthrie Hall and Cato crossed the whitewash to give the hosts a 29-12 half time lead.
Goode notched his second penalty of the night on 50 minutes before turning provider for Cato to crash over for his second try.
Cato completed his treble after 72 minutes following good work from Daniel van der Merwe and Irish snatched a losins bonus point with their fourth try in the dying seconds.
"I'm very pleased with the result," said Academy Manager Mike Hynard. "We scored some really good tries and threw the ball around.
"Players like Alex Goode and Noah Cato now have a year of A League experience behind them and are certainly maturing which they showed tonight."
