Football fans traveling to Vicarage Road for the Watford v West Brom match tomorrow will face some access restrictions at the ground.
There will be no access from the walkway in the south west corner to the stadium and this will particularly affect pass holders in the Willow Lane car park.
The restrictions are in place while work is carried out to create road and pedestrian access to the rear of the Rookery, against the allotment boundary, with a turning circle at the hospital end for emergency service vehicles.
When the work is completed it is anticipated emergency response times to the south west of the stadium will be improved.
On non-match days the road will be used by construction vehicles providing access to the south west corner.
Phase one of the stadium redevelopment, new changing rooms, match day control facilities and media facilities, will begin here. At the same time, building of the key worker housing will commence wrapping around the Rookery stand across to Occupation Road.
