Abbots Langley residents will learn how to prevent themselves becoming a victim of crime on Monday.
The Abbots Langley Neighbourhood Team will be joined by police crime prevention officers, Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue and West Herts Against Crime (WHAC) at the first of a series of events sponsored by Sainsbury's.
Chairman of West Herts Against Crime, Russell Cleaver will be speaking about personal safety, fire officers from Green Watch will talk about the importance of fire alarms and police crime prevention officer, Gary Sibson will be tackling a range of crime prevention issues including burglaries and vehicle crime.
Organiser, PCSO John Diaz from the Abbots Langley Neighbourhood Team, said: "It's about giving something back to the community by equipping people with information to help them get the best out of life.
"We particularly want to help parents and we will be running a series of themed events.
"Everyone is welcome and we'd appreciate suggestions from residents about what they would like further information on, during future get-togethers."
The event will be held at St Lawrence Church in Abbots Langley High Street between 10.15am and 12.15pm.
