Two thoughtful five-year-olds showed "pure generosity and goodwill" by donating their birthday presents to families with learning disabilities.
Friends Darcy and Thomas from St Albans gave all the presents from their fifth birthday to the Atria Watford campaign Give a Gift Christmas.
The initiative supports charities Watford Mencap and Watford HomeStart with shoppers buying and donating gifts during the festive period.
The children were invited onto Heart Radio to talk about their touching deed - during which Atria Watford surprised them with presents while on-air.
Michelle Hamilton, Watford Mencap's fundraising manager, said: “The icing on the cake this year was being able to pull off a surprise visit to meet the lovely Darcy and Thomas, who have shown pure generosity and goodwill in donating their own birthday presents to other children."
More than 1,000 goodies overall have been donated as part of the scheme which are now being given to families.
“We’ve been overwhelmed at the number of gifts people have so generously given for local children with learning disabilities," Ms Hamilton added.
“Christmas is a very special time and it is so heart-warming to know that people want some of the most vulnerable children to share the joy of the season."
