A LITTLE Latin spirit pervaded Bushey on Sunday afternoon when locals learned how to dance Salsa.
An outdoor dance display at King George V Recreation Ground was rained off but the fun continued in the park pavilion as dancers Jean White and Trevor Layne from Wembley-based Salsa school Mambo City taught participants basic steps.
The event was organised by Amanda Farr and Nory Galeota, who run the pavilion cafe. They served up spicy Latino food to the dozens of people who turned out for the friendly community event.
Salsa fan Amanda said: "It is full of life. It is the rhythm and music that makes you feel bubbly and happy."
First-timer Rob Hopkins, 40, from Oxhey Village, dancing with his wife Jane, said: "I have no coordination whatsoever but I have quite enjoyed
this. I have always wanted to learn to dance properly and this was an excellent opportunity to see what it was all about."
