It has been confirmed today that best-selling author Katharine McMahon from Oxhey will visit North Watford Library on Wednesday next week to talk to readers about her novels.
Katharine will be discussing the background to her Richard and Judy shortlisted novel, The Rose of Sebastopol, which is set during the Crimean War.
She will also be reading extracts from the novel and talking about her experience of being part of the "Richard and Judy" Book Club phenomenon.
There will be an opportunity to win copies of The Rose of Sebastopol at the event.
Executive Member for Education and Culture, Keith Emsall said: "We're really looking forward to this talk by Katharine, particularly in the wake of the success of The Rose of Sebastopol.
"Katherine's previous visit to Watford Library was a great success and this event promises to be an entertaining insight into the working life of an author."
Tickets are free and are available from North Watford library. They can be reserved via the Customer Service Centre on 01923 471333.
