- The M25 clockwise was closed between junctions 18 and 20.
- Traffic coming anti-clockwise was being diverted via the entry/exit slip roads to leave and re-join the M25 (at junction 28).
- This was done due to a police-led incident, according to National Highways.
- Hertfordshire Constabulary have confirmed they put the closure in place as a precaution while they deal with a "concern for welfare incident".
- The closure was being put in place at around 5pm.
