A caravan was reportedly set on fire with a man inside during the early hours - sparking a Herts Police investigation.
The force said the suspected arson happened in Meadow Road, Bushey, at around 2am on Friday, December 29.
No injuries were reported, but the front windows and some wiring were damaged, according to police.
Detective Constable Gemma Haines, from the Borehamwood local crime unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and I am appealing for any witnesses to please come forward.
“Thankfully, the occupant of the caravan was uninjured and was able to use a neighbour’s hose to extinguish the fire before emergency services arrived.
“If you saw someone acting suspiciously in the area around this time, or were driving in the area and have a dash cam fitted, please email me at gemma.haines@herts.police.uk."
