Callous thieves attempted to drill their way into a vehicle parked outside Watford General.
A van belonging to a man in his 30s was targeted at the Vicarage Road hospital between 5.50am and 10.10am on Sunday, January 14.
A Herts Police spokesperson said that “a hole was drilled into the side of a white Ford Transit”, but no access was gained and nothing was reported stolen.
No arrests have been made.

A police message reads: “We’re looking for information regarding an attempted theft from a motor vehicle which took place on Vicarage Road, Watford General hospital, on 14/01/2024 05:50 to 14/01/2024 10:10.
“During the material times, the vehicle was parked outside Watford hospital, upon return to the vehicle the driver has noticed a hole had been put in the sliding door.”
They urged anyone with information, including relevant CCTV or doorbell footage, to contact officers via the force website or non-emergency number 101, quoting 41/3908/24.
