Burglars ransacked a Watford home and stole shoes worth £350, sparking a police appeal for information.
Two pairs were taken from a property in Wilmington Close on Friday, February 23, between 8pm and 11pm.
The victim returned to find cash had also disappeared from the kitchen, and they suspect some clothes were stolen as they were “scattered” around the bedroom.
It is currently not known how much cash was taken, Herts Police said.
Just streets away on the same day, burglars also attempted to enter a property at Goldfinch House, Rosslyn Road, between 12.40am to 12.50am.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, was inside the flat at the time and heard the door handle being turned three or four times.
Nothing else was seen or heard, and there was no damage to the door, according to police.
Anyone with information or relevant footage relating to the incident can contact police, quoting 41/15655/24 for the Wilmington House burglary and 41/15497/24 for the attempted burglary at Goldfinch House.
