Drivers are facing disruption when a section of one of the busiest roads in Watford is closed for roadworks.

St Albans Road is due to be closed overnight from March 25 to April 5 between Leavesden Road and Balmoral Road to enable drainage investigation works to be carried out.

A shorter overnight closure of Oxhey Lane is also set to start on March 25, while other streets in the Watford area are also set to be shut due to an ongoing programme of gully cleaning works.

The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the works due to take place in our area during the rest of this month.

- Two-way traffic lights will be in operation in Bushey Mill Lane, Watford, on Monday when Virgin Media are carrying out works between the junctions with Bushey Mill Crescent and Northfield Gardens.

- Gully cleaning works are due to close Park Avenue, Watford, from Tuesday to Thursday, March 21. The road will be shut to motorists from 9.30am to 3.30pm and a diversion will be available.

- St Johns Road, Watford, is set to be shut to vehicles from 9.30am to 3.30pm, from Wednesday to Friday, March 22 for gully cleaning. An alternative route will be in place.

- Delays are likely in Nascot Wood Road, Watford, on March 21 and March 22 when patching works will be carried out on a section of pathway and kerbing. Multi-way traffic lights will be in operation between the junctions with Wrensfield Close and Tunnel Wood Road.

- A section of St Albans Road, Watford, is due to be shut overnight from March 25 to April 5 for drainage investigation works. The road will be closed daily from 10pm to 5am between Leavesden Road and Balmoral Road. A diversion will be in operation.

- Oxhey Lane, Watford, will be closed to motorists overnight from March 25 to March 28 for roadworks. A diversion will be in place when the road is shut from 8pm to 6am each night.

- Gully cleaning works are due to close Milton Street, Watford, from March 26 to March 28. The street will be shut from 9.30am to 3.30pm each day and an alternative route will be available.

- Two-way traffic lights will be in use in High Road, Bushey, on March 28 when Abovenet Communications will be carrying out works near to the junction with Hartsbourne Road.

- Nascot Street, Watford, will be shut to motorists from March 27 to April 5 for pathway reconstruction works. This is due to take place from outside No. 41 to the junction with Maulden Road.
