Hello! My name’s Bertie and I’m a 13-year-old lad who’s hoping to find a new home. I came into the National Animal Welfare Trust with my friend Simba when our human mum passed away, but as we weren't that close we’re looking for separate homes.
I’m a sweet boy who’s quite reserved when I don't know someone, but the team think I’ll be quite the cuddle bug when I’ve settled into my new home. I currently spend a lot of time in my outside run in the cattery, so you probably won't catch a glimpse of me if you pop in without an appointment.
I can live with older children who could understand I want my own space. I’d rather not live with any other cats or dogs as I’ve been happier here on my own.
Outdoor access via a cat flap would be ideal as I could come and go as I please.
And I’m Simba, a much-loved nine-year-old boy who came to the NAWT with Bertie.
I’m also quite shy and spend most of my time hiding away. I need a quiet home and patient family who’ll help me come out of my shell.
I can live with teenagers who’ll be quiet around me and understand I need time to learn to trust them. I don't want to live with other cats or dogs as I find them scary!
Like Bertie, I’m used to having outdoor access and living near busy roads, so when I’ve settled in a cat flap would be great.
