A “charming” home that was once a farm designed as a replica of one built for Marie Antoinette is on the market.
Antoinette Court in Abbots Langley was originally part of the Ovaltine Dairy Farm built in 1932 but is now a courtyard of residential properties.
One of these has today (April 3) been made available for purchase through estate agent Savills, with offers in excess of £625,000 invited.

- Unique Shenley home with view over Watford on market
- Inside a Chorleywood farmhouse on sale for over £1m
Savills Rickmansworth residential sales team director Sue Trybus said: “This charming home has been thoughtfully updated by the current owners and offers bright and light accommodation complemented by immense character.
“The great living space and recently refitted kitchen are especially noteworthy and there is a lovely cosy feeling throughout.
“The courtyard setting and communal gardens are an absolute delight, while you also have some wonderful countryside right on your doorstep and the amenities of Abbots Langley High Street are close by.”
The building was converted into a courtyard of homes with communal gardens in the 1980s. The home on the market now has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, utility room, dining room, and a sitting room over two floors.
It was designed as a replica of one built by King Louis XVI of France for Queen Marie Antoinette before closing in 1979 and reopening for residential use in 1982.
The thatched roof is due for replacement in 2027/2028.
