A Watford charity showcased their masterpieces in an art exhibition in Watford town centre on Saturday.

DRUM (Disability Recreation Unity Movement) displayed paintings and ceramics produced for the innovative DRUMBEAT project, which were inspired by musical performances given by the BBC Concert Orchestra, in St Mary’s Square.

The DRUM members also decorated bags, aprons and pillows, which were exhibited and sold.

Volunteers from Parkgate Junior School, in Southwold Road, Watford, got stuck in by making dream catchers and braclets.

Money raised from sales of exhibits will go towards buying new art materials for the group.

DRUM will launch a new outreach project from Wednesday, September 10, which will run on subsequent Wednesdays at the Hartspring Community Centre, Park Avenue, Bushey, and will include activities such as Yoga and craft sessions.
