Top gymnasts from the Harefield Gymnastics Academy will be performing at Watford’s Harlequin Centre on Sunday.
Great Britain representatives Claire-Louise Thompson, Grace Blacklock and Hannah Feeney of the Harefield Senior Women’s Group, and British Junior Champions Ciara McGrath, Sophie Burfield and Katie Smith will be amongst those displaying their skills outside HMV on the Lower Mall every hour from 10am to 4pm.
Great Britain coach Natasha Maxwell, founder of the Academy two years previously, has enlisted the support of the Harlequin Centre in staging the event. The primary goal is to raise funds before the World and International Age Group Championships in Glasgow this October.
Shoppers can look forward to some world class acrobatics from the senior performers, as Claire-Louise and Grace finished seventh in the World Championships in Portugal in 2006, whilst Ciara and Kate took the Bronze medal at the European Championships in 2007.
