What do you like best about living, working or studying in Watford? How about the things that you’d like to see improved?

One Watford, the town’s local strategic partnership, is deciding what issues to focus on over the next two years, and needs residents' help.

A consultation evening will be held on Thursday, October 23, in the Council Chamber at the Town Hall in Watford, to which residents and local stakeholders are invited.

Mayor Dorothy Thornhill, Chair of One Watford, said: “This is a great opportunity to meet us all and tell us about your experience of living in Watford so that we can plan our work for the next two years.

"Working together we can achieve great things. For example, over 40 local businesses have pledged to become more sustainable by making changes to the way they work. They have reduced the impact they have on the environment by taking advantage of the expert advice that One Watford has opened up to them.

“Local groups have been asked to come up with their own solutions to reduce smoking and help the over 45s stay fit and active, supported by One Watford funding.

“The Safer Watford partnership and the Watford District Children’s Trust Partnership continue to help fight crime and support children and young people to make the most of opportunities available to them.”

Starting at around 6pm, with refreshments from 5.30pm, the evening will run to around 9pm and will give residents and local stakeholders the chance to tell One Watford partners if the facts and figures presented during the evening match their experience of living in Watford.

Places for the event are limited. For more information, telephone Watford Borough Council on 01923 278066 or email onewatford@watford.gov.uk by October 16, including details any special requirements.
