A WOMAN from Oxhey has recently returned from Sweden where she studied some of choral music's leading musicians.
The trip to the Scandinavian country was made possible thanks to the Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship.
Ms Joy Hill is choral director at the Royal College of Music, and a senior lecturer in Music and Music Education, at the University of Surrey, in Roehampton. Miss Hill said: "I chose to investigate choral education in Sweden, where some of the world's finest choral conductors and choirs are to be found.
"I observed the world-renowned founder of choral education in Sweden, Eric Ericson, working in rehearsals, met Swedish composers and singers and visited choirs and conducting classes."
