MAYOR Dorothy Thornhill got on her bike on Monday, June 16, to herald the opening of a new cycle path in Oxhey Park.
Under sunny skies and accompanied by her husband, Councillor Iain Sharp,e and Councillor Tony Poole, she cycled from the Irish Club in Wiggenhall Road along the north bank of the River Colne before finishing at Century Park.
Mayor Thornhill said: "I am keen to get more people out and on their bikes and this is the weather for it.
"We are going to be working to get more cycle routes in and around the town.
"This part in Oxhey is just the start if it."
