Water company apologises for leak repair delay in Bushey

BUSHEY: Three Valleys Water have this week begun work on a leak that has been flooding a street since before Christmas.

The leak, in Coldharbour Lane had annoyed residents and local councillors, particularly when the water froze, causing a hazard for pedestrians and motorists.

A spokesperson for Three Valleys Water said: “Three Valleys Water would like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused by a leak in Coldharbour Lane, Bushey.

“Unfortunately the repair didn’t take place as soon as we would have hoped but the leak has been scheduled for repair early next week.

“We would like to thank local people for working with us by reporting leaks to the leakspotters hotline on 0800 3765325.”

This is very typical of this French owned company. Two years ago, a good flowing leak in Bushey Hall Road, took two months to repair, despite frequent phone calls. It was only when a direct contact was made with the MD, was anything done.
