A DRUGS and alcohol rehabilitation clinic is to open in Watford town centre.
The applicant, Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Trust, was granted planning permission to use an empty office building in Station Road by Watford Council on Monday.
The Community Drug and Alcohol Team, which provides an appointment-only outpatient service, will be based at the site for the next five years.
Once the lease expires, the building will return to its normal office use to maximise employment opportunities in the area.
No drugs or medication will be kept on the premises.
