ONE of the culprits who vandalised Westfield Community Technology College by smashing windows causing thousands of pounds of damage has been convicted by Watford magistrates.
Despite being found at the scene with glass in his clothes 18-year-old Ricky Allen, of Charlock Way, Watford, said he was not involved in the act of vandalism which left 19 panes of Georgian style glass smashed and a repair bill of £3,483.
Allen pleaded not guilty to criminal damage, blaming instead two individuals he had been drinking with that night.
But in a trial last Friday Allen was convicted of criminal damage and was before the court on Tuesday for sentencing.
