THE gloss was taken off a newly wed couple's joy after they returned home to find their beloved cockatiel had escaped.
Mr Shahzad Baig and his wife, Pinky, were devastated to find their cockatiel Tammi has flown the nest when they came back from a week's trip to Tenerife.
The bird escaped from their home in Kings Avenue, Watford, on Saturday, November 1, when neighbours came round to feed it.
The couple, who returned from their honeymoon in the early hours of last Wednesday morning to find Tammi gone, fear he may flown off in search of them.
