THE actress Honor Blackman, remembered for her part as Pussy Galore in the James Bond movie Goldfinger, will be hosting a VIP night at an art show at The Harlequin shopping centre gallery in aid of the Palace Theatre Appeal next month.
The star, who shot to fame as the leather-clad karate expert Cathy Gale in The Avengers, is a patron of the Palace Theatre Watford.
She will be hosting a night of Postcards for the Palace, where guests are invited to pay £15 to choose a small, unnamed artwork which could be painted by a well-known artist or a total amateur, created specially for the occasion.
The night takes place on Thursday, December 4, at the end of Artists for the Palace, an art show organised by former mayor John Horsfield in support of Mayor Dorothy Thornhill’s call to reduce the shortfall of funding (currently £223,000) for the theatre’s £7.5 million refurbishment bill.
