Angry scenes are expected later this morning as Hertfordshire’s first British National Party (BNP) councillor attends her first meeting.
Deidre Gates, who won the South Oxhey division in this month’s local elections by just 27 votes, will attend a meeting of the full council at County Hall, Hertford, at 10.30am.
Anti fascist groups have said they will protest outside the venue against what they describe as a racist party.
