Watford’s Theo Robinson looks certain to join Swindon Town after their manager Danny Wilson revealed they have a “verbal agreement” with the striker.
The Watford Observer reported last week that Robinson was expected to sign for the Robins but there had been no comment from either side on the deal.
Swindon seem to have beaten Southend United and Brighton to the 20-year-old’s signature with a deal which we understand could rise to £275,000 depending on appearances and promotion.
When asked about such a bid by the Swindon Advertiser, Wilson said: "There is truth in that.
"He is on holiday at this moment in time, but when he gets back we hope to sit him down and have the contract signed with us.
"We've got a verbal agreement, but that's about it at the moment. But we're very hopeful it will happen.
"He's a very good young player - one we can look to the future on and who will get better and better."
