Harry the Hornet joined more than 1,500 revellers during a Family Fun Day filled with music, games and entertainment.
The Courtlands Residents Association organised the inaugural event to help build community spirit and bring local people together.
And hundreds of families gathered in Goodwood Recreation Ground, to listen to live bands and watch dance displays from Orchard Primary School and Holy Rood Primary School and a local majorettes group.
Horse riding, children's games, face painting and fair ground rides were also on offer, alongside visits from Watford Football Club and the fire service at the event on Saturday, June 20.
Stalls hosted by Holy Rood, Orchard, and St Paul's Primary School, and local Scout and Guide groups, also raised money for the individual groups.
Dan Holden, chairman of the Courtlands Residents Association, said: “The event was a tremendous success, a fun day was had by all.
“It was really great to do something for the community and to get such fantastic feedback from residents. The event was both well attended and well supported by local organisations and businesses – we can’t wait to do it again next year.”
