Six sixth-formers from Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' school have won a trip to India after triumphing in a national competition.
The pupils, Sahil Shah, Sachin, Kotecha, Shiv Pabari, Hamza Zahid, Branavan Rudran and Matthew Naughton, won this year's national Wings of Hope competition.
The challenge for students was to come up with innovative ideas to raise money to support the education of children in India. Several teams entered from the school.
The winning team, called Ribbon In The Sky, used a variety of initiatives including sleeping rough in Northwood during the winter holidays.
They also raised awareness through free hugs and a charity dinner.
All the six team members will now travel to India to see how the funds they raised are used.
